TAMIYA MOSQUITO by GRAHAM GREEN
The kit is, as one would expect from Tamiya, is well moulded
with plenty of detail and goes together like a dream.
By omitting all armament (and filling over the apertures)
the version used by BOAC on the ‘Ball Bearing Run’
to Sweden was created. The decals were obtained from the
Aeromaster sheet 48-043C.
For the BOAC Civil Courier service version the wing tanks,
supplied in the kit, and the trailing aerial tube are used but the guns
are omitted and the ejection holes in the forward section of the bomb doors are filled in together with the openings for all the guns in the nose.
The two main camouflage colours are from the Xtracolor range
whilst the 'Aircraft Silver' is from Humbrol
